Reynold F. Fank, age 74, of Waterloo, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Manor Care Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born October 5, 1934 in Earlville, Iowa the son of Charles and Evelyn (Hass) Fank. He graduated from Earlville High School. Reynold was united in marriage with Jean Larae Hesse on June 4, 1960 at St. Nicholas Church in Evansdale.

Reynold worked as a machinist for the former Construction Machinery Co. and Sampson Fabrication in Waterloo. Following retirement he worked part-time at NAPA Auto Supply in Waterloo. He was a US Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jean of Waterloo; two sons, Jeffrey R. (Dawness) Fank of Janesville, IA and Michael S. (DeAnna) Fank of Boone, IA; 9 grandchildren and a brother, Melvin (Jean) Fank of Winthrop.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Waterloo. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with full military honors accorded by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel in Waterloo where a parish vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM and after 10 AM Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
