WATERLOO - Alexander Ruiz, 51, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Sept. 1, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born April 17, 1960, in Miami, son of Domingo and Aida Santiago Ruiz. He married Elsa Diaz in Chicago and they were later divorced. He then married Burdett Mosley in 1985 in Chicago. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Ruiz served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survived by his mother, Aida Santiago-Ruiz of Kissimmee, Fla.; his fiancee, Kendra Parker of Waterloo and her two daughters, Kelsey and Karley; two daughters, Bryanna (Andrew) La Luz and Marisol (James) Hernandez, both of Kenosha, Wis.; five sisters, Rose of Lithia, Fla., Mary Virvet, Brunilda Rios and Amarylis Rios, all of Orlando, Fla., and Linda of Mayaguev, Puerto Rico; two brothers, Raul Rios of Kenosha and Jose (Yesenia) Rios of Kissimmee; and three grandchildren, Ayanna Burdett La Luz, Jasmine and Rebecca Hernandez.

Preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Isabel.

Services: 1:30 p.m. today at Heartland Vineyard Church. His body will be cremated following services. Public visitation will be held at 1 p.m. today at the church. Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 will perform military rites at the church. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is in charge of arrangements.
