CEDAR FALLS - George W. Duhrkopf, 82, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born July 20, 1929, in Sumner, son of Dewey and Harriet Zimmerman Duhrkopf. He married Dorothy Crow on Aug. 25, 1951, in Waterloo.

Mr. Duhrkopf was a cashier at Rath Packing Co. for 43 years, and the business manager at Waterloo Chamber of Commerce for seven years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Rath Management Club for several years.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Kay Cervetti of Cedar Falls and Sue of Waterloo; three sisters, Helen Harms of Sumner, Sally of Waterloo and Sharon (Ron) Seehase of Waverly; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Elliott and Darlene Duhrkopf; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Alberta Duhrkopf; two brothers, Rodney and Howard; and a brother-in-law, Myron Harms.

Memorial Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Western Home.
