WELTON, WEGELIN, FUNK, EARL, LAMBI

WATERLOO - Pauline Welton, 94, of Waterloo, died Monday, Sept. 5, at Lakeview Landing.

She was born April 22, 1917, in Sheridan, Wyo., daughter of John Jacob and Pauline Wegelin Funk. She married Hubert Welton on Aug. 7, 1942, in Fort Collins, Colo. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Welton received a bachelor's degree in business economics from Iowa Wesleyan. She was a real estate broker for 22 years in Burlington and taught real estate for six years at Southeastern Community College. She was a lifelong member of P.E.O., served on the Sun City West Sheriff's Posse and was a member of Desert Palms Presbyterian Church. She served as a professional registered parliamentarian.

Survived by three grandchildren, Marie Welton of Colorado, and James David Welton and Catherine Welton, both of California; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Ruben (Lydia) Funk of Thornton, Colo., Dan (Marilyn) Funk of McCook, Neb., and David (Priscilla) Funk of Glendale, Ariz.

Preceded in death by a son, Dr. Michael Welton MD; two sisters, Esther Lambi and Deborah Earl; and a brother, John Funk.

Services: were Sept. 14 at Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, Sun City West, with inurnment in the church columbarium. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
