WATERLOO - Floyd Junior "Bud" Henderson, 84, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 13, 1926, in Bradgate, son of Floyd and Alice Hemerson Henderson. He married Pauline Mae Merry Dec. 6, 1947. She died May 26, 2003.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1945. Mr. Henderson worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring in 1987 after 41 years of service.

Survived by three sons, Jerry of Ames, Barry of Pleasant Hill and Robert of Waterloo; a daughter, Barbara Greene of Waterloo; a granddaughter, Jodie (Zach) McLean of Parkersburg; two great-granddaughters, Keira McIlrath and Chloe McLean; a brother, Howard (Jean) of Waterloo; a sister, Beverly Beck of Phoenix, Ore.; a sister-in-law, Billie Jo Henderson of Algona; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a brother, Robert.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, with burial at a later date. Public visitation will be held for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Bud loved to fish. He enjoyed hiking and playing cards. Bud is remembered as a loving, caring father.
