SCHREIBER, LINDEMAN, HEIDEMAN, QUAL, KOSTER

WASHBURN - Merrill R. Schreiber, 79, of Washburn, died Friday, Sept. 9, at Covenant Medical Center's emergency room.

He was born July 18, 1932, in Dysart, son of Clarence and Leona Lindeman Schreiber. He married Glorious Heideman Jan. 8, 1956, at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church in Waterloo.

Mr. Schreiber graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1951, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korea War. He was employed at John Deere, retiring in 1988.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Dennis (Suzy) of Shelby Township, Mich., Kevin (Susan) of Waterloo and Maurice "Mo" of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Koren "Corey" (Jim) Koster of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Preceded in death by a brother, Maurice in infancy; and a sister, Mavis Qual.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with full military rites conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and Evansdale Amvets Post 31. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
