CEDAR FALLS - Lawrence G. "Larry" Oberfoell, 93, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Dubuque, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.
He was born Nov. 12, 1917, in Dubuque, son of Earl and Oza Story Oberfoell. He married Aurella Oswald on Oct. 7, 1945, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubuque.
Mr. Oberfoell was a past member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II stationed in the South Pacific. He then worked at Dubuque Packing Co., retiring in 1980 after 38 years of employment.
Survived by a daughter, Maureen (Tom) Sullivan of Cedar Falls; and three grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a brother, Victor; and a sister, Alice Wall.
Services: noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Behr's Funeral Home, with gravesite prayer at Mount Calvary, both in Dubuque. Visitation from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
