WATERLOO - Carol J. Mills, 68, of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 2, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born Feb. 17, 1943, in Waterloo, daughter of Arthur C. and Edith Mae Jones Roeding.

She worked in the housekeeping department at Allen Hospital for several years.

Survived by her husband, Mike Kalvig of Waterloo; a daughter, Julie (Randy) Messerly of Cedar Falls; four sons, Clint (Karla) of Independence, Casey (Sharon) of Dunkerton, Mike of Waterloo and Nick (Robin) of Eldora; 12 grandchildren, Star, Tally, Stephanie, Chad, Brandon, Bryan, Brady, Jordyn, Jenna, Joshua, Jacob and Jasmine; nine great-grandchildren; six sisters, Irene, Helen, June, Jayne, Virginia and Barbara; and a brother, Jack.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Thomas, Harold and Bill; three sisters, Ruth, Edna and Dorothy; and a special friend, Carolyn Koch.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kearns Huisman-Schumacher Chapel in Waterloo. Public visitation will he held for an hour before services Tuesday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

She liked plants and flowers and enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and listening to a variety of music.
