ELK RUN HEIGHTS - Patricia McCarron Sell, 77, of Elk Run Heights, died Sunday, Aug. 28, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from complications of a fall in her home.

She was born April 25, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Roy and Ann Stramel Owens. She married Pat McCarron in 1953, and they later divorced. She married Arnold Sell in 1979, and they later divorced.

Ms. Sell was employed with Black's Department Store, the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier and Younkers until her retirement.

Survived by five sons, Marty (Sally) McCarron of Waterloo, Tim McCarron of Elk Run Heights, Dan McCarron of Colo, Casey McCarron of Cedar Falls and Matt McCarron (Colleen Ramonez) of Champaign, Ill.; two daughters, Tammy (George) Rossow of Waterloo and Shannon Pexa (Bret Gailey) of Arlington, Texas; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ric (Jackie) Owens of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Don Owens of Marathon, Fla.; and her dog, Sam.

Graveside services 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo, with inurnment in the cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society.

Pat was a wonderful mom who cared deeply about her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was passionate about her Hawkeyes and NASCAR (Go 88). We'll miss you, Mom!
