WATERLOO - Bette Jane Calvert-Judas, 88, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Aug. 28.

She was born July 19, 1923, in Waterloo, daughter of Samuel and Jeraldine Olmsted Monroe. She married Paul Calvert, and they later divorced. She married Leonard Judas. He died in November 1996.

Mrs. Judas was employed with Powers Manufacturing, retiring in 1984.

Survived by three daughters, Paulette Reinard of Waterloo, and Renell (Douglas) Richter and Tonda (Richard) Foster, both of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren, Dustin (Misty) Reinard, Kyle Reinard (Rachel Karstens) and Andrew Reinard, all of Waterloo, Briana Richter (Steve Cero) and Brayden Richter, both of Cedar Falls, Bradley Richter of Des Moines, Bethany (Bob) Koenig of Ohio, Brandon Calvert of Waterloo, and Jennifer and Jessica Bertram, both of Cedar Falls; and three great-grandchildren, Brynnen Reinard, Chloe Warren and Kyra Reinard, all of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jeraldine Calvert.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church, Cedar Valley Humane Society or Cedar Valley Hospice.
