WATERLOO - Bruce E. Oestereich, 66, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, Aug. 23.

He was born Jan. 7, 1945, in Waterloo, son of Paul and Martha McGuire Oestereich. He married Patricia Ann Fletcher on Dec. 2, 1968, in Lancaster, Mo. She died June 28, 2001.

Mr. Oestereich worked at Allen Hospital as a custodian and at Lawn City Bakery. For the past 20 years, he worked in the sanitation department for the city of Waterloo, retiring in 2000.

Survived by a brother, Clark of Grundy Center; a sister, Kathy Scarff of Waterloo; and a sister-in-law, Carol Aswegen of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Lorraine Randall and Colleen Hoodjer.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 12:30 p.m. until services Wednesday at the funeral home.
