WATERLOO - Pamela "Shane" Shane-Dillard, 60, of Waterloo, formerly of Kansas City, Mo., died at home Saturday, Aug. 20, of complications of cancer.

She was born Sept. 10, 1950, in Waterloo, daughter of Curtis W. Austin and Marlys L. Brown. She married the Rev. Terry Shane; they later divorced. She married Eugene Dillard; they later divorced.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School, attended Wartburg College and received her BA degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She retired from the University of Missouri as diversity coordinator.

She was a member of the NAACP, Kiwanis and Gift of Life Church in Waterloo

Survived by a daughter, Darla L.S. (James) Palmer of Waterloo; her mother, Marlys Austin of Waterloo; a grandson, Joshua Shane Thompson of Kansas City; two granddaughters, Krysta N. Shane and Mekaila E. Shane, both of Waterloo; a great-grandson, Joshua Shane Thompson Jr. of Kansas City; a sister, Madonna Austin of Waterloo; and four brothers, Curtis II (Debra) Austin of Phoenix, Darwin (Deanna) Austin of Des Moines, Loren Sr. (Debra) Austin of Milwaukee, and Clint (Sylvia) Austin of Fort Worth, Texas.

Preceded in death by her father; and a granddaughter, Kara V. Shane

Family-directed memorial Services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Gift of Life Church. Family will greet friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
