EVANSDALE - Eugene J. Sadler, 82, of Evansdale, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center, Waterloo.

He was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Waterloo, son of John and Minnie Tooman Sadler. He married Rosalia "Rose" Neisen May 28, 1952, in Waterloo.

Mr. Sadler was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a route salesman with Wonderbread and D&D Foods, and then worked as a machinist with Titus and Viking Pump, retiring in 1989.

Survived by his wife; a son, James of Evansdale; a daughter, Linda Sadler of Arlington, Texas; and a brother, LeRoy (Barb) Sadler of Jewel.

Preceded in death by a brother, Ronald.

Memorial Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Full military rites will be conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31, Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and the Offutt Air Force Base. There will be no visitation.
