DUNKERTON - Juanita K. McIntosh, 88, of Dunkerton, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 23, 1922, in Winona, Kan., daughter of Frank Buss and Flora Rousch. She married Capt. Duane Swinford. He preceded her in death. She married John McIntosh on April 21, 1957, at First Baptist Chuch in Dunkerton.

She was a homemaker and farm wife.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Jorge Ann Swinford of Des Moines and Anita (Dave) Claman of Ames; three sons, James (Pat) of Dunkerton, John (Gretchen) of Brighton Colo., and Matthew (Kelly) of Tacoma, Wash.; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her birth parents; her adoptive parents, Col. Earl and Elsie Kleckner; two sisters, Charlotte Miller and Lucille Lucas; a brother, George Buss; a daughter, Catherine E. Swinford; a son, Duane A. Swinford; and two nephews, Frank and Robert Buss.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Dunkerton. Visitation from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, is assisting the family.
