EVANSDALE - James M. "Breezy" Werner, 61, of Evansdale, died Saturday, July 30, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born Oct. 27, 1949, in New Hampton, son of Ralph and Lois Bradshaw Werner. He married Becky Knebel on Aug. 26, 1972, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Evansdale, and they later divorced.

Mr. Werner graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1969 and from Hawkeye Community College in 1971. He was employed as a tool and die maker at Schoitz Engineering for 37 years.

Survived by a daughter, Brooke (Mike) Bogdziewicz of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Brent of Rock Hill, Mo., and Brian of Evansdale; a grandson, Noah Bogdziewicz; a brother, Robert (Delores) of Granger, Ind.; three sisters, Eva Ruth (Alva) Lill of Charter Oak, RoseMary Fathke of Waterloo and Nancy (Bill) Webb of Ionia; and a special friend, Sandy Henriksen.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Louis.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity American Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.
