WATERLOO - Earl Edward Hicok, 75, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 12, at Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center.

He was born Oct. 4, 1935, in Waterloo, son of Leo and Hazel Lewis Hicok. He married Alice Miller on July 23, 1966, at Sacred Heart Church, Waterloo.

Mr. Hicok attended Waterloo East High School. He worked for Waterloo Community Schools for 29 years, retiring in 1996 as a maintenance foreman.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Mark and Samuel, both of Waterloo, and Matthew (Lara) of Ames; a grandson, Aaron of Ames; two brothers, Jim (Cheryl) of Arlington, Minn., and Richard (Mary) of Waterloo; two sisters, Joanne (Gene) Horner of Asheville, N.C., and Carol (David) Cook of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters-in-law, Helen Miller of Waterloo and Mary Miller of Ventura, Calif.; a brother-in-law, Joe (Maura) Miller of Blue Springs, Mo.; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Rueben and Lula Lewis; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Susan Hicok; and an infant brother, Neil.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
