JASPER, FISCHBACH, HOLTZ, HAUGE, SNIDER

CEDAR FALLS - Donald H. Jasper, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, July 11, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Dyersville, son of Leo H. and Marian D. Fischbach Jasper. He married Jean A. Holtz on Oct. 19, 1963, in Manchester.

Mr. Jasper graduated from Xavier High School, Dyersville. He began his apprenticeship in pattern making and attended some courses at the University of Northern Iowa. He was employed as a pattern maker with John Deere and Co. for 39 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Waterloo.

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Kimberly (Garry) Hauge of Plymouth, Minn., Gayle Jasper of Lincoln, Neb., and Brenda (Rob) Snider of Fishers, Ind.; six grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Martha) of Dubuque.

Preceded in death by a brother, Gerald.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, where there will be a 7 p.m. Scripture service. His body has been deeded to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program.

Memorials: may be directed to the church, Cedar Valley Hospice, or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
