CEDAR FALLS - Robert B. Meyer, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, July 9, at Western Home Communities' Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

He was born July 30, 1919, in Cedar Falls, son of Louis W. and Adelaide Chmel Meyer. He married Beverly J. Fisher on July 8, 1945, in Cedar Falls. She died May 13, 2011.

Mr. Meyer served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for Oliver Larkin Construction and retired from the University of Northern Iowa after 20 years of service as supervisor at the physical plant.

Survived by a son, Reg (Kathy) of Evansdale; a daughter, Debra (Steve) Wood of Waterloo; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Richard L.; and a grandson, Matthew Wood.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
