LA PORTE CITY - Florence M. Sherbon, 80, of Long Grove, formerly of La Porte City and Fairbank, died Thursday, July 7, at her home after a long illness.

She was born July 4, 1931, in Waterloo, daughter of Karl J. and Rachael C. Ralston Kuriger. She married Robert E. Sherbon Nov. 15, 1951, in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death.

Survived by three sons, Mitchell G. (Ronda) of Spencer, Tony F. (Marsha) of Marengo and Mark A. (Penny) of La Porte City; a daughter, Anne M. (Bill Myers) Harvey of Long Grove; a brother, Phillip K. Kuriger of Evansdale; five sisters, Mildred L. Hansen of Waterloo, Theresa M. Willey of Cedar Rapids, Rosemary (Jerry) Jenkins of Waterloo, Elizabeth A. Wendt of New Hampton and Margaret L. (Floyd) Scoles of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Paul Kuriger.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. today, with a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
