DRAPE, NICHOLS, HAGEDORN, YOUNG, WARM, MILLER

EVANSDALE - Ruth D. Drape, 94, of La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center, La Porte City, formerly of Evansdale, died at the center Wednesday, June 29.

She was born Oct. 4, 1916, in Clayton County, daughter of Charles and Beulah Lee Nichols. She married Harold Hagedorn, and they later divorced. She married Paul F. Drape on Dec. 15, 1957, in Waterloo. He died Dec. 3, 2003.

Mrs. Drape worked in the sausage department at Rath Packing Co. for 13 years.

Survived by a son, David (Ivy) Hagedorn of Waterloo; two daughters, Sandra Young and Sharon (Harold) Warm, both of Evansdale; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Leslie, Glen and Curtis Nichols, and Kenneth Nichols in infancy; and a sister, Verlye Miller.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Reformed Church, Evansdale, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
