WATERLOO, IOWA — Esther C. Dunham, 96, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 22, at Affinity House in Waterloo.

She was born May 4, 1915, in Brazoria County, Texas, daughter of Martin and Alma Lampe Gliedt. She married Hursald R. Dunham Nov. 10, 1946, in Waterloo. He died March 15, 1989.

She worked for a time at Hinson Manufacturing and then farmed with her husband. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed working with the Women of Faith.

Survived by a son, Larry of Waterloo; and a sister, Dorothy Amoss of Winchester, W.V.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Nelson, Viola Baker and Melma Gliedt; and four brothers, Melvin, Norman, Albert and Martin Gliedt Jr.

Committal services: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Memorial services 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be directed to the church.
