WOLLUM, EDGINGTON, NAUGLE

CEDAR FALLS — Wayne D. Wollum, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, June 24, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls of natural causes.

He was born April 15, 1919, in Sioux Falls, S.D., son of Glen and Blanche Edgington Wollum. He married Laura Mae Naugle June 8, 1946, in Sioux Falls. She died April 6, 2009.

Mr. Wollum served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He owned and operated West End Grocery in Emmetsburg for many years and was an auto parts salesman at AC Delco in Sioux Falls for many years, retiring in 1986. He also was a member of American Legion and VFW.

Survived by two sons, Jeff (Carmen) of Waterloo and Mike (Kay) of Emmetsburg; seven grandchildren, Chad (Jane) of Lisbon, Christy (Josh) Weber of Jesup, Stephanie (Brandon) Rickie of La Porte City, Joey of Anita, Matt of Blair, Neb., and Brett and Tiffany, both of Cedar Falls; and four great-grandchildren, Gavin and Grayson, and Faith Weber and Wyatt Rickie.

Preceded in death by a brother, Gene.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Hills of Rest Cemetery, Sioux Falls. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today, and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
