EVANSDALE - Wilbert L. "Willie" Morrow, 85, of Evansdale, died Sunday, June 5, at Iowa Veterans Home, in Marshalltown.

He was born April 24, 1926, in Cedar Falls, son of Bert and Nellie Vaughn Morrow. He married Beverly Kronecke in 1944. They later divorced. He married Barbara Fritz in June 1964 in Nashua. She died in May 2001.

Mr. Morrow served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed with Rath Packing Co. until it closed. He was then a self-employed electrician for 30 years in the Waterloo area, retiring in 2000.

Survived by three daughters, Julie (Bart Albrecht) of Waterloo, Pamela (Al Nelsen) of Cedar Rapids and Shelda (Jeff) Brenner of North Liberty; two sons, Bill (Genia) of Elk Run Heights and Darrell of Denver; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Opal Gamiez of Mountain View, Calif.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19, Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and the Iowa Army Honor Guard. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and also for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
