WATERLOO - Donald D. Miller, 79, of Waterloo, died Saturday, June 4, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born April 7, 1932, in Waterloo, son of Frederick and Nina Rutlegde Miller. He married Donna Hallman Salmon on May 13, 1956.

Mr. Miller graduated from West High and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. He was the executive vice president for Jens Olsen, later known as Prairie Construction, retiring in 1994 after 36 years with the company. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survived by his wife; a son, Randy of Iowa City; two daughters, Vicki (Allan) Endorf of Waterloo and Terri (David) Galanits of Rochester, Minn.; three grandchildren; and a brother, Derald of Washburn.

Preceded in death by a sister, Donna Raisch; and a brother, Delbert.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo American Legion Becker-Chapman Post 138. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service.
