WATERLOO - Rick A. "Sicko" Fourtner, 62, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 31, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born May 11, 1949, in Waterloo, son of Robert and Bonnie Michael Fourtner. He married Becky Neisen, and they later divorced. He married Sandy Schulte.

Mr. Fourtner graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1967. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed with John Deere Waterloo Works for 30 years, retiring in 2004.

Survived by his wife; a son, Scott (Elise Owens) of Washburn; twin daughters, Angie Fourtner and Jodie (Dean) Boike, both of Evansdale; two grandchildren, Landon and Logan Boike; his father of Waterloo; and three sisters, Terri (Jeff Moormann) Benson of Waterloo, Sandi (Bob) Pemble of Solon and Lori Langdale of Elk Run Heights.

Preceded in death by his mother; and a nephew, Brian Benson.

Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity American Lutheran Church, with military rites conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31, Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Iowa Army Honor Guard. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 7 p.m. public Masonic service. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or American Cancer Society.

Rick loved to spend time with family and friends. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding his motorcycle throughout the country. He was an active Mason and Shriner and was a member of the El Kahir Cruisers.
