RICHARDS, MAHONNEY, HENSON, BAKER

CEDAR FALLS - Norma J. "Non" Richards, 102, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May 24, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.

She was born Feb. 17, 1909, in Quincy, Ill., daughter of Edward and Helen Mahonney Henson. On July 3, 1930, she married Charles Richards. He preceded her in death.

When she was 11, her family moved to Freeport, Ill., where she lived most of her life.

Mrs. Richards was an artist.

Survived by a niece, Sally (Ed) Baker of Cedar Falls; a great-niece, Amy Baker of Hudson; a great-nephew, Dan (Stacy) Baker and their daughters, Rebekah and Joanna of Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews and their families from her husband's family.

Preceded in death by an infant son, Charles.

Memorial services: 7 p.m. Friday at Orchard Hill Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at a later date in Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, Palm Harbor, Fla. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

Non was a tender-hearted and loving person who gave generously of herself to others and who always loved the laughter and spontaneity of little children. She was an amazingly creative person with skills in painting, needlework and other kinds of artistic expressions. She has left her family a legacy of committed love, genuine faith, the enjoyment of beauty in nature and enthusiastic creativity.
