CEDAR FALLS - Theodore E. "Ted" Danielson, 74, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May 24, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born June 10, 1936, in Waterloo, son of Leroy and Goldie Crees Danielson. He married Lillian A. Dotson on May 5, 1959, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

Mr. Danielson was a 1957 graduate of Janesville High School, where he was a member of the inaugural Janesville football team. He was employed at John Deere Tractor Works as an inspector for 28 years, retiring in 1989, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1958 to 1963.

Survived by his wife of Janesville; three sons, Darwin (Sue) of Urbandale, Dwayne (Cindy) of San Bernardino, Calif., and Darren of Waterloo; three daughters, Donita (John) Dettmer of Waverly, Darla (Rick) Cullen of Rogers, Minn., and Denise Daniels of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren, Luke, Daniel and Noah Dettmer, Grace and Ted Cullen, and Joe and Katie Danielson; two brothers, Richard of Long Beach, Calif., and David of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Patricia (Bob) Hasty of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31.

Ted had a passion for antiques and anything collectable.
