WATERLOO - Robert Dean "Bob" Harang, 61, of Lake Mills, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, May 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea, Minn.

He was born Nov. 10, 1949, in Forest City, son of Kermit and Wilma McClain Harang.

He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1967 and attended Iowa State University. Mr. Harang worked at Cardinal Construction in Waterloo for more than 25 years, specializing in concrete work, and Larson Contracting in Lake Mills.

Survived by two daughters, Kristen (Brad) Holtan of Pleasant Hill and Jenna (Jonathan) Grimm of Ashburn, Va.; a granddaughter; his mother, Wilma Harang of Lake Mills; three brothers, Ray of Thompson, Rick (Marlene) of Leland and Rod (Sandy) of Lake Mills; a sister, Renee (John) Matson of Olds Mar, Fla.; two aunts; and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, Kermit; his fiancee, Michelle Brown; and a nephew.

Memorial service: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church, with inurnment in Salem Memorial Cemetery, both in Lake Mills. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mittelstadt Funeral Home, Lake Mills, continuing for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
