EVANSDALE - Verla C. Claussen Miller, 86, formerly of Evansdale, died Friday, May 13, in Omaha, Neb.

She was born April 20, 1925, in Moville, daughter of Harry and Gladys Sickles Claussen.

Ms. Miller worked at medical facilities in Waterloo, Phoenix, and Flint, Mich.

Survived by two daughters, Marian Lord and Penny (Mike) Hardiman; three sons, Cecil (Paula), Errol (Pam) and Terry (Patty); two stepdaughters, Jean (Pete) Frauenkron and Karen (Monte) Burns; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Dunn.

Preceded in death by a brother; a sister; a son, Larry; a stepdaughter, Elanie Byrne; and a grandson.

Memorial services 11 a.m. Thursday at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Waterloo, preceded by an hour of visitation. Burial will be in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
