EVANSDALE - Rena Frezeman, 94, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Evansdale, died Sunday, May 8, at the Western Home Martin Health Care Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born Feb. 27, 1917, in Germany, daughter of Hermanus and Antje Gossling Heeren. She married Arthur B. Frezeman on Oct. 22, 1953, in Evansdale. He died Aug. 31, 1958.

Mrs. Frezeman immigrated to the United States in 1951. She worked as a housekeeper for the Russell Lamson family and later worked as a baker at Allen Memorial Hospital and for the Waterloo Community Schools. She was a member of First Reformed Church, Evansdale.

Survived by a daughter, Helga (Clark) Fensterman of Fort Calhoun, Neb.; several nieces and nephews, including Delores (Richard) Blackford of Dows, John (Janis) Heeren of Jewell, Harold (Sharon) Heeren of Stanhope, Wilma (Cecil) Anderson of Omaha, Neb., and several living in Germany.

Preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Anna Katrina "Tini," Eka and Meta; and four brothers, Wilke, Herman, Anton and Henry.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Reformed Church, Evansdale, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church at 644 Home Acres Ave., Evansdale 50707.
