WATERLOO - Larry Alton Roberts, 68, of Reedsburg, Wis., formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 26, at Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center.

He was born July 14, 1942, in Waterloo, son of Alton Chester and Joyce Myrtle Beeson Roberts. He married Linda Carol Davis on Nov. 13, 1960, and they divorced in 1994.

Mr. Roberts graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1960 and had worked at John Deere as a machinist for 30 years, retiring Jan. 31, 1995.

Survived by his companion, Betty Petrin of Balsam Lake, Wis; a son, Christopher of Waterloo; two daughters, Channel Hoppe of Waterloo and Jennifer Horkan (Randy) of Reedsburg; eight grandchildren, Brian, Lindsey, Ashley, Sydney, Annah, Krista, Jaime and Abigael; two great-grandchildren, Joy and Olyvia; and two sisters, Delores (Warren) Akers and Beverly (Pete) Eckholm, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Larry.

Memorial Services 3 p.m. Saturday at Locke Funeral Home, where visitation begins at 1 p.m.
