CEDAR FALLS - Richard A. Kinzler, 70, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, April 23, in Covina, Calif.

He was born March 29, 1941, in Waterloo, son of Alfred and Hilda Gritzner Kinzler.

Mr. Kinzler was a 1959 graduate of Waterloo East High School and received his bachelor of arts degree in 1964 from Iowa State Teachers College. He taught high school vocal music in Pocahontas, and West Covina, Calif., retiring in 2006.

Survived by two brothers, Al (Sara) of Washington and Fred of Chino Hills, Calif.; and a sister, Virginia (Robert) Colby of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Tony.

Memorial services will be held in June in Covina, with inurnment in Waterloo at a later date.
