WATERLOO - Florence Lucille Heggebo, 88, of Waterloo, died Saturday, April 23, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Naponee, Neb., daughter of Hobert and Mary Landreth Hays. She married Lawrence Heggebo on Oct. 23, 1946, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 12, 2006.

She was a laundry attendant at Annie's Laundromat until retirement in 1984.

Survived by two sons, Rodney Hays of South Dakota and Lawrence of Waterloo; two daughters, Marilyn Gray and Karolyn (Danny) Brunson, all of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dwight (Betty) Hays, Doyle (Loretta) Hays and Loyle Hays, all of Oregon; and a sister, Marvel (Lawrence) Atken.

Preceded in death by six brothers, Durwood, Dwain, Dale, William, Robert and Wilfred Hays; a sister, Dorine Cate; a granddaughter, Tina Heggebo; and two great-granddaughters, Ashley Reiser Brunson and Averee Patterson.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.

She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
