WATERLOO - Louis M. Billick, 92, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 19, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born Aug. 22, 1918, in Waterloo, son of Jess and Bertha Apling Billick. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Boemecke Sept. 14, 1938, in Dubuque. She died Nov. 17, 1991.

He was employed with Meyers Cox and Martin Brothers, retiring in 1975. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Survived by a daughter, Betty Lou of San Diego; two sons, Gary (Ana) of San Antonio, Texas and Britt (Kathy) of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother; and six sisters.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by Evansdale Amvets Post 31, Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and the Iowa Army Honor Guard. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Iowa Hospice or Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
