WATERLOO - Louise D. Bentley Dietz, 93, of Waterloo, died Thursday, April 14, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.

She was born March 23, 1918, near Oran, daughter of LeRoy and Ida Strempke Bentley. She married Murle S. Dietz Sr. Aug. 23, 1941, in Kirksville, Mo. He died Oct. 27, 2006.

She was employed at Chamberlain Manufacturing during the war and retired in May 1983 after 39 years of service.

Survived by two sons, Murle (Cindy) of Waterloo and Harold (Jacky) of Austin, Minn.; three grandchildren, Curtis Dietz and Michelle (Steve) Merry, all of Waterloo, and Dawn (Travis) Vlasaty of Rochester, Minn.; a stepgrandson, Aaron Klugherz of Des Moines; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Cody Vlasaty of Rochester; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kayla and Keenan Merry of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Russell (Olga) Bentley of Waterloo and Forrest (Carol) Bentley of Prosper, Texas; a sister, Anna Everding of Denver; and two sisters-in-law, Rita Bentley of Denver and Myrtle Bentley of Owatonna, Minn.

Preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Dietz; five brothers, Herbert, Wallace, Herman, Fred and Roger; and a sister, Bernice Balbon Fields.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel in Waterloo, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, 2305 Crescent Drive, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613.
