CEDAR FALLS - Marjorie A. Mixdorf, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 12, at The Western Home Communities Thalman Square in Cedar Falls.

She was born July 3, 1925, in Greeley, daughter of Ben and Gertrude Ryan Odell. She married Merwyn H. Mixdorf Aug. 21, 1949, in Greeley.

She graduated from Greeley High School and University of Dubuque. She was a primary school teacher at Head Start for 27 years, retiring in 1985.

Survived by her husband; a son, Jon (Robin) of Center Point; three daughters, Mary (Ken) Conlee of Lees Summit, Mo., Julie (Gary) Read of Carrollton, Texas and Michelle "Shelley" (Bruce) Verink of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Ben (Betty) Odell of Shorewood, Ill.

Preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kreuz.

Services: 3 p.m. Saturday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls. Public visitation will be for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
