EVANSDALE - Melinda S. Doland, 54, of Evansdale, died Wednesday, March 23, at home of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 7, 1956, in Waterloo, daughter of Curtis and Shirley Buck Ives.

She was a certified nurse's assistant at Harmony House, Country View and ManorCare Health Services.

Survived by a son, David (Shelly) Harkrider of Waterloo; two brothers, Stephen Ives of Louisville, Ky., and David Ives of Evansdale; two sisters, Kathy (Tony) Stevens of Waterloo and Norma (Sam) Reece of Gillsville, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Hailey, Brandon, Kyle, Lindsey, and Danielle Harkrider.

Preceded in death by her parents.

She loved fishing, especially in Canada, and birdwatching.

Memorial service: will be private. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is assisting the family.
