WATERLOO - Iva M. Bachtell, 84, of Waterloo, died Monday, March 21, at St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Rapids, Mich., after a long illness.

She was born near Arlington on April 27, 1926, daughter of Frederick Henry and Elva Delight Squires Anderman. She married Clarence "Kelly" Bachtell on Feb. 11, 1946. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bachtell graduated from Arlington High School. She worked for many years at Rath Packing Co.

Survived by a daughter, Linda (Kermit) Robbins; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Flossie Streicher, Dora Lee Nus and Gwen Pagel; and a brother, Lester Anderman.

Services 11 a.m. Saturday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with burial in Union Cemetery, rural Aurora. Visitation an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
