WATERLOO - Charles "Charlie" A. Isley, 81, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 1, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center in Waterloo.

He was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Cedar Falls, son of Lester and Ida Linde Isley. He married Mary Lou James Jan. 22, 1955, in Washington Chapel, Cedar Falls.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School. Mr. Isley was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He worked for Credit Bureau in Cedar Falls and Waterloo for 24 years, retiring in 1988.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Ron (Mickey) of Okinawa, Japan and Brian (Cathy) of Mediapolis; four grandchildren, Eric, Leanne, Leif and Anthony; and a brother, Larry (Judy) of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Susan; a sister, Evelyn Stewart; and two brothers, Robert and James.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Public visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls.

He loved to fish and camp and was a volunteer coach for Optimist Baseball for 20 years.

Memorials may be directed to St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, Waterloo or Cedar Valley Hospice.
