WATERLOO - Martha E. Harmon, 81, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Feb. 24, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born March 25, 1929, in Vandalia, Mo., daughter of Hugh and Millie Lott Henderson. She married Kenneth Harmon on May 22, 1954. He died May 7, 1992.

Ms. Harmon ran an at-home day care and was a wedding/funeral coordinator at her church.

Survived by two sons, Kenneth "Tracy" (Donna) and Randy, both of Waterloo; a daughter, Joyce (Stonie) Gladson of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Francis (Harriet) Henderson of Des Moines, John Henderson of New Hampton and Raymond (Gloria) Henderson of Colorado.

Preceded in death by a son, Gary; a daughter, Marie Jane Harmon; and a great-grandson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
