WATERLOO — Mary B. Grovo, 87, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Denver Sunset Home, Denver.

She was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Gulfport, Miss., daughter of Albert and Mazie Stiglet Fayard. She married George E. Grovo on March 1, 1943, in Gulfport. He died in 1990.

Mrs. Grovo was the bookkeeper for Grovo Construction and later was employed with Nagle Signs, retiring in 1991.

Survived by a son, Tom (Becky) of Denver; two daughters, Janis (John) Nagle of Waterloo and Carol (Greg) Waggoner of Crystal Lake, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Jenny (Chad) Taylor, Tom (Katie) Nagle, Nicky (Jack) Miller, Denise Grovo, Jessica (Christian) Fasselius, Kelsey Waggoner, Matthew Waggoner and Kendra Waggoner; four great-grandchildren, Chandler Taylor, Grace Nagle and Kai and Bodhi Miller; and a sister, Alberta (Bob) Dodson of Mandeville, La.

Preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Deborah; a brother, Albert Fayard Jr.; and a sister, Madeline Noble.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
