Roger E. Saltou

GLENVILLE — Services for Roger E. Saltou, 53. will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in United Methodist Church at Glenville. The Rev. Dale Thurlby will officiate. Interment will be in Greewood Cemetery. Friends may call at Bonnerop & Son Funeral Chapel.

A native of Waterloo, Iowa, he was born February 3, 1922. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Saltou.

He had lived at Northwood and 19 years ago moved to Glenville. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II, was a member of the American Legion and the VFW and operated Roger's Repair at Glenville.

He died in Fairbault late Monday in a construction accident, where he was an employee of Bituminous Materials.

His father and a sister, Florence, preceded him in death.

Immediate survivors are his mother, Buelah Saltou of Northwood; his widow, Arlene H. Saltou; two sons, Dennis of Glenville and Randy at home; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Nesset of Glenville, Mrs. Dean Roger E. Saltou (Jean) Hovland of Vernon Center, Mrs. Alan (Shirley) Avery of Albert Lea, Mrs. Jeffery (Sandra) Linn of Alden and Vicky and Connie at home; a brother, A. R. (Roy) Saltou of Glenville, and 15 grandchildren.

Mr. Saltou and Arlene H. Flatness were married at Clarks Grove August 9, 1941.
