CEDAR FALLS - Alma E. White, 101, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Feb. 7, at Windsor Care.

She was born July 6, 1909, in Conrad, daughter of Charles and Fern Nichol Koehler. She married Lynford "Lynn" White on May 23, 1931, in Plainfield. He died in 1993.

Mrs. White taught in a rural schoolhouse near Nashua, and later she and her husband owned and operated the Grundy Center Monument Works for 35 years, retiring in 1967.

Survived by: a daughter, Alys (Elden) Aswegan of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Paula (Kelly) Tegtmeier of Cedar Falls and Dan Aswegan of Waterloo; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Jim E.; an infant brother; and four sisters, Eddeth Duvall, Veva Grove, Ruby Beier and Beverly Luenberger.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
