WATERLOO — Marjorie Theresa Wald, 73, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Jan. 29, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born March 5, 1937, in Stevens Point, Wis., daughter of Ed and Pearl Kees Erickson. She married Richard Wald on June 26, 1953, in Durand, Wis.

Mrs. Wald worked at New York Fashion and sold Shaklee for 27 years. She was active at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she belonged to women's circles and taught Sunday school and Bible school. She was a Brownie leader and a 25-year member of Al-Anon. She also completed her GED.

Survived by her husband; three daughters, Sharon (Dave) Ellingson of Webster City and Wendy (Dave) Beare and Becky (Jeff) Aegerter, both of Sioux Falls, S.D.; eight grandchildren, Andy (Angie) Ellingson of Bettendorf, Pete (Liz) Ellingson of Centennial, Colo., Ben (Alicia) Ellingson of Santa Fe, N.M., Kristen (Mike) Styles of Tea, S.D., and Dustin (Talina) Beare, Brandon (Cassie) Aegerter, Kelcie Aegerter and Daintry Aegerter, all of Sioux Falls; 11 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Debbie (Chuck) Lillard of London, Ky., Pearl Hoffman of LaCrescent, Minn., and Joyce (Jim) Larrabee of Menomonie, Wis.

Services 11 a.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, in lieu of flowers.
