WATERLOO - Ronnie A. Johnson, 57, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Jan. 27, at his home.

He was born May 29, 1953, in Waterloo, son of Clyde and Goldie Becker Johnson.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Waterloo East High School, then joined the U.S. Army for four years. He was employed for 30 years with Viking Pump Co., retiring in 2006.

Survived by his wife of 18 years, Joshalyn; a stepdaughter, Chassidi (Brion) Martin of Waterloo; a stepson, Travis Ferguson of Des Moines; a grandson, Tayden Johnson; his parents of Waterloo; two brothers, Randy (Shelly) of Grundy Center and Richard (Kathy) of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Judy (Dennis) Wells of Sarasota, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Flag presentation by the Iowa Army Honor Guard. Visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
