CEDAR FALLS - Alvin B. "Al" Carlo, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 23, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born Aug. 7, 1923, in Albion, son of Alfred and Easley Foust Carlo. He married Edythe M. Baier on Nov. 27, 1941, in Dubuque. She died Dec. 6, 2004.

Mr. Carlo served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was employed in sales at Witham Auto Center, retiring in 1988.

Survived by: two sons, Don (Karen) of Waterloo and Dennis (Jennifer) of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (JoAnn) of Cedar Falls; and brother-in-law, Norman Baier of Santa Rosa, Calif.

Preceded in death by: seven brothers and a sister.

Memorial services: will occur later in April. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
