CEDAR FALLS - Richard Louis "Dicky" Mohorne, 58, of 3416 Veralta Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 22, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born April 28, 1952, in Waterloo, son of Willie Clyde Mohorne and Flossie Overs. He married Carolyn DeVorak in Waterloo, and they later divorced. He then married Rebecca Jo Wells in Waterloo in May 2000.

Mr. Mohorne retired from the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.

Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Tamara Mohorne of Mesa, Ariz., and Jennifer Wells of Waterloo; three sons, Richard (Shelly) Mohorne Jr. of Cedar Falls, Damien (Kam) Mohorne Sr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jonathon Wells of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Flossie Anderson of Waterloo; a brother, Willie Clyde (Lou) of Waverly; and four sisters, Vanessa Mohorne of Charlotte, N.C., Patricia Oliver of San Mateo, Calif., and Yvette Mohorne and Terri Mohorne, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Service and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to family at 814 Ash St., Waterloo, where they will receive friends.
