EVANSDALE — Thomas Robert Wilson, 60, of Evansdale, formerly of Jesup, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, after a long cancer illness.

He was born March 10, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Robert Joseph and Carla Mae Jamieson Wilson. He married Diane Jo Brown on April 1, 1971, in Nashua, and they later divorced. He married Pamela Kay Remetch on May 5, 2003, in Las Vegas.

Mr. Wilson worked for 31 years at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works as an inspector, retiring in 2003. He was a member of UAW Local 838 in Waterloo.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Amy (Michael) Schares of Jesup; a son, Bradley (Jennifer) of Jesup; six grandchildren; his mother of Waterloo; a brother, Richard of Waterloo; and three sisters, Patricia Kugler of Houston, Peg Kugler of Waterloo and Bobbi Jo (Robert) van Deusen of Williamsburg.

Preceded in death by his father.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where the family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials may be directed to the family or to the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

Thomas enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.
