WATERLOO — Jack J. Davis, 78, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 3, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes.

He was born July 5, 1932, in Waterloo, son of Wayne and Goldie Card Davis. He married Marian Jurging on Oct. 8, 1950, in Waterloo, and they later divorced. He married Donna Baruth on July 30, 1983, in Waterloo. She died Oct. 7, 1992.

Mr. Davis was employed by Viking Pump Co. for 38 years, retiring July 1, 1994. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survived by: a son, Jeffrey (Carla) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Debbie Friedrich of Cedar Falls and Janet (Ron) Sires of Waterloo; two stepsons, David (Katie) Baruth of West Union and Dale (Denise) Baruth of Estherville; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Duane of Arizona and Larry (Sharon) of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Mark; and a daughter, Kathy Davis.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, with inurnment at a later date. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623.
