GILBERTVILLE - Geraldine E. Burrage, 90, of Gilbertville, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo.

She was born April 28, 1920, in Soldiers Grove, Wis., daughter of Pearl and Eliza Ward Schoville. She married Hubert Burrage on April 6, 1938, in Elkader. He died Oct. 14, 2001.

Mrs. Burrage was educated in the Soldiers Grove Schools and had worked as a school bus driver for the Waterloo Community Schools for 12 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church ,Gilbertville.

Survived by: four sons, Albert (Patricia) of Aplington, Larry (Linda) of Independence, Michael (Sue Thompson) of Gilbertville and Denis (Carrie) of Two Rivers, Wis.; four daughters, Eileen Shadlow of Janesville, Darlene (Jerry) Clark of Reinbeck, Jerilyn (Gary) Becker of Waterloo and Tamzal (Bill) Smith of Jesup; a son-in-law, Fred Roquet of Mount Auburn; 34 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Orvin Schoville of Cedar Falls; and special friend, Shannon Burrage of Jesup.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a daughter, Dottie Roquet; two grandchildren, Mark Miller and Kandle Burrage; two sons-in-law, Gene Mattingly and Gary Shadlow; five brothers, Fred, Dorvin, Archie, Harrison and Warren Schoville; and two sisters, Dorothy Rogers and Freda Gander.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, both in Gilbertville. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
